Drawing upon Brydon-Miller?s work on ethical reflection in the context of community-based research (2008; 2009) and recent collaborations with the Centre for Social Justice and Community Action at Durham University, we build upon the notion of covenantal ethics, ?the unconditional responsibility and the ethical demand to act in the best interest of our fellow human beings? (2006, Hilsen), and the ethical principles for community-based research outlined in the Connected Communities Tackling ethical issues and dilemmas in community-based participatory research: a practical resource publications.
This stream will take the form of a collaborative structured ethical reflection process, supporting ongoing dialogue regarding the ethical challenges throughout the research processes. Outputs will include co-authored case studies papers.
